Larry, that is a truly beautiful example.

Without question the nicest 20th Century set I have ever seen.

Outstanding example Larry, spotless movement, pristine box.

It doesn't get much better than that. Big Grin

Larry,

I guess if someone wans to collect "modern" 20th century watches, it might as well be as pretty as yours.

Congrats,

Larry,

Ok, found a container, not as sharp as yours. Now I guess I will have to find an appropriate watch for it!

Larry, mine doesn't swing out and display like a travel clock as yours appears to do!! What hinge or other feature keeps your display from seperating from the case?

happy hunting,

There is no actual hinge at the top, just the fabric glued underneath the backing.

Larry

Thanks !! Fully understanding how it works made it possible for me to get mine to work correctly. Mine now works just like a travel clock. I was afraid to try to free it until I knew how it looked on the reverse.

happy hunting

Hello Bill:

I Hope you can find a suitable candidate for your Ball watch holding case. Here is a train dispatcher on the Louisville and Nashville Railroad in Mobile, Alabama in 1943 using a similar stand for his railroad pocket watch
