This seller asked me for information about this watch Serial Number 145871 No movement photo shown. Since the price guide only says it's a Model 15 and there is no model 15 shown, maybe someone can help. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...IT&item=200341128941 Sheila

Sheila This is all I could find on a model 15 Tom

Tom, Thank you so much. I thought it was an 0s or 6s, and it looks just like a Model 14 size 6s. Maybe we need to get that number listed in "The Book" like it already is for some of the models, two at a time. Eg. ----- Model 14 & 15 Of course, unless there is a big difference. Do you have any idea at WHEN it was made, ( 1888-1889?) or the jewel count? Sheila

Sheila No idea one jewels or dates, sorry. Tom

Me neither! I figured the dates listed in "The Book" are ok, as a rough estimate. Right? Sheila

Sheila, I may be able to add a little more info but the serial number you list is for a model 15. The serial number in the auction is for a model 16. Which one is it? Brian C.

Finding $500.00 for that watch makes this a sort of academic errand unless we can get the seller to pop open the dust cover and see what it is made of.

It looks goldfilled very unlikely it is gold Geno

The number I listed above, 145871 is the correct number from the movement. It took her a while to get it open. (The number in the auction was a case number) Tom's photo is the only reference other than the number 145871 that I have. I explained the huge gap in the value of watches, and the need for additional confirmation of the case being solid gold, or gold filled, and how important it is to show a photo of the movement in the auction. She ended the auction early, and will relist it according to what we suggest. Sheila

Look at the scan under model 15. This will give some more examples of what the movement might be.

Brian, So according to the Seth records, it's a size 6s, is one of 3 grades, 46, 122, 119, has 7J, 11J or 15 Jewels, has Nickel or 2-Tone plates, can be either Open Face or Hunting, and is Pendant or Lever set. Still don't have any markings on the case, so no idea if it's solid or gold filled. I'll link her here so that they can see the answer. Wish I had a photo of the movement, but this is still great. Thank you everyone! OOOOPPPPPSSS!! Must have missed this photo in an e-mail! Sheila

Sheila, Here's a little more info from the parts book.

Brian, Thank you, and I sent the link to this message to the seller so they can look it over and ask questions if they want to. Great information! Sheila
