I think Gerald probably has the right guy, in the 1930 census for District 48, Peoria, Peoria, Illinois
Page, George T. born about 1860 in Illinois, he is listed as a Federal Judge. He is living with his wife Jessie S., and servant.

As Gerald said he was Judge of the United States Circuit Court at Chicago, a position which he could hold for life. His brother Samuel was Circuit Judge Peoria but he became one of the most successful & brilliant trial lawyers of Chicago according to the Journal of the Illinois State Historical Society Vol 14.
