I just picked up two beauties. An AW Appleton Tracy - 15J, gold plate movement, solid gold case, and an AW Model 1872 - 15J in a solid gold box hinge case. Incredible works of art. I just blew my budget for the National.

I just looked and the case is stamped AWCC. Both of these watches had broken main springs. I bet they have been in a sock drawer for the past 60 years.

Hey Mark you know I can make room in my safe for that model 72 and it sure would look good next to the other. Only Teasing I know that one is a keeper. Great find though.

Hey Mark the more I look at that model 72 the more I like the look of it. Plain but sharp. You did good. Case looks good and heavy also which is a plus. Glad to see those finds are still out there. Congrags to you
