Elgin serial number 18238408. This is a 286 grade size 6 with 7 jewels made in or around 1914 run of 2000. This particular watch is in a hunter case and not an open face pendant. It is in very good condition. Just clean, tuned and keep good time. That is all I know about this particular pocket watch. If it is OK I would think it is about a $200 piece or so. One thing I do know is you all are able to teach me even more and I have an open mind. I have the following pocket watches left to post a Hamilton 992L serial number 2343622, A Vulcain very thin pocket watch, Hamilton 912 serial number 3435198, Elgin serial number 2487048 cicra 1886 or so 11j 16s hunter case. Then I have a Sam Roberts of London circa 1772. The last pocket watch I have is a fusee, silver case, painted enamelled face with the Imperial coat of arms. Movement and face are marked: Ignatzius Lichtenstern in Wien. circa 1720 that is a hanging clock. ![]() | ||
