Hello everyone;

I was hoping that a few members might be able to help me with an experiment.

You may remember I tried a special stripper from the Renaissance Wax people to clean a crystal and it seemed to work very well. I would like to try it on a variety of old crystals to see what results I get.

If anyone would like to send me an old worn out, scratched or chipped crystal, either glass or acrylic, I would like to try and polish them back to a normal or new state.

My plan is to tape off half the crystal with some masking tape and polish one side only to see the actual result. If the experiment is a success I'll give everyone the name of the place they can get the stuff for themselves.

The cost to send a crystal or two is about two bucks in a small padded brown envelope. I think they'll survive the trip OK.

This is certainly not meant as an alternative to the beautiful crystals that you make William. It is simply a fun experiment to see if they can be polished back to a usable finish. In fact, the polish price is far higher than your crystals. Shhhhhhhhhh though, don't say a word.
