Hi

This Hamilton 952 #1625401 looks strange to me. The regulator spring is incorrect yes that's not the question. Look at the winding wheels more specific the split in the plate between the wheels. Most of the 952 I have seen do not have this split plate? The design is seen on the 950's.
From a quick look at the serial number I think this watch is from the last run of 952's. Can anyone verify this assumption. Thanks

Here is an old post of one of Lindell's watches, it looks the same as the one you ask about.

Keith,

Yep, that plate layout did not change over the years.

And yes, the 952 and 950 do in fact share the same plate design. In fact, the only difference of any real consequence between a 19-Jewel 952 and a 23-Jewel 950 are four little cap jewels.

It is possible you are thinking of a 19-Jewel 996 which uses the less complicated design we find on the 992 movements, there is a 996 shown in that link that Tom Provided, just scroll up to the first image.

Hi

Here is an earlier 952 without the split plate?

The other question of being from the last run of 952's is that true?

Thanks
