I Got Another 1st Run Hamilton 940 #177 numbered SN 48182 "Click" to Login or Register

I got another 1st run Hamilton 940. #48182 which is the 177 numbered 940. Made in 1898/1899 which was before the stricter regulations in the early 1900's. Evidently this watch was not used on railroad because of the hands but the hands may or may not be original. I don't know if the case is original or not. I do not see any other case mounting screw marks. nickel case.

18s. 940 being one of my favorites along with the
Waltham,Elgin,Illinois etc.

Thank you Roger! I'm with you the older ones are the best for me. I need to clean this one up but she is in great shape should be an easy clean.

Nice one Harry! Those 940's are a thing of beauty. Does that one have gold jewel settings? Some of them don't appear to have them. Mine is a later motor barrel version, and does have them.

I think it does but I haven't cleaned it yet so they are still dull but looks like they are.
