Usually this dial in porcelain-enamel will have the baton hands and that is the combination of choice in melamine as well. The seconds hand is too short, looks to me like one for a 12-size, anyhow it is not correct.
Having the movement number and the Case 17 number would help narrow it down.

I think some 950b's from the mid 50's had this style hands..I have 1 in Mdl 17 Keystone case with melmaine dial that I beleive is original..S21905.. While many collectors like the baton combination, I do not think it was "mandatory".. the pictured example the seconds hand is wrong..

And this from the Hamilton 1961 Materials Catalog. So Hamilton did not seem to descriminate between the hand choice for both the 992B and 950B in their catalogs.
Don: That is terrific. It answers a lot of questions. Now we know that both blue and black hadns were used as well as both spade and baton. Thanks for your help.

Greetings and salutations from Cincinnati, OH...first post and fairly recently registered here. It amazes me how much information is available at this site...so I say "thank you".
I had been looking for a 950B recently...and when my local watchmaker got wind of that, he whipped out a 950B from his collection and sold it to me a few days ago. Prior to the sale, I wasn't sure about the spade/whip/dart hands being "OK" [paired with a #332 dial] until I did some searching here and found confirmation. Thanks again!
Regards,
Collin Wayne
