I was wondering, did they make the Hamilton model #16 case in the 14K white gold, and what year did they start production?

Thank you for your help.

Regards,
Larry

Larry, I am aware of only yellow gold for the #16 case....

There may be others that have more information than I do though....Let's see what they have to say....

Jerry

The Case 16 started in 1951 and continued thru the end of Hamilton's U.S. production. It was 10K rolled gold plate (yellow).

White gold-filled cases ended in 1934 for Hamilton & other U.S. makers as well.

Best Regards,

Ed

Thank you Ed.

Can anyone tell me what this is then? With the exception of the Bow and the wear, it looks like the #16 case to me. Confused

Thank you again for your help!

Regards,
Larry

Larry, obviously it is a star case but I don't think it is a #16 case....the Bezel and rear cover edge markings do not coincide with the 'True' #16....

I think it is a Deco style made by Star in later years....

Just my opinion though....I'm sure we will hear from others....

Good Luck,

Jerry

I agree with Jerry. The white case is marked 14K gold-filled. It's a pre-1934 Star replacement case. The yellow case is a later Star replacement Case, marked 10K rolled gold plate. Neither is a Case 16 because it lacks the Hamilton Watch Co. marking in the case signature.
