William Thomas12 size Dudley questions
This may have been covered before, but does anyone know what factory made the Dudley basic movement?? I have one on the bench now for staff replacement. The staff is a 12 size Hamilton single roller type (their terminology). But the movement is rather cheap looking and bears a certain resemblance the some Gruen "Watch Specialties Co." movements, especially with the large deep jewel settings. The two are contemporary. BTW the watch was found in an abandoned house in Minneapolis! The house restorer who found the watch has done his googling and knows what Dudleys are all about.

William ThomasYup-it matches that model 2, right down to the metal dial and hands of the watch in that thread you linked me to. (I rarely use the price guide anymore). If I run into any other issues, I know what I have. Many thanks Lin!
