In any base plate there are always two holes drilled under the pallet jewels: there must be an evident reason to drill those holes, but I can't figure it out. Would you kndly help me, please ? The picture is from a small Elgin, a 10s, 17j, cal. 314 ![]() | |||

thanks, Peter ... inspection holes, absolutely evident (once you know). Tryly, it never occurred to me, I always handled naked movements leaning on something so no light was going thru. After reading I simply lifted the movement away ... and that's it! Most conclusive answer, thanks again. | ||||
