This watch was a total spur of the moment purchase. I went to the shop specifically for the First pocket watch purchases! [Elgin 575] and noticed this guy sitting a couple of cases away. They were selling it for $32.00, so I couldn't resist! Waltham, serial number 22428109, which I believes takes it to about 1918. The first pic is of the whole watch.

The second picture is of just the dial with the crystal removed. It's dirty with some parts of the numbers missing, but the face itself appears intact and uncracked.

As a side note, the green color on the one gear is actually a reflection of a plant! I was taking pictures in a good light source and forgot there was a plant above me! This last picture is just the back cover. A nice, if somewhat faded, engraving. This little guy just jumped out at me and I just had to get him. Once again, as always, I'm interested in any thoughts. Thanks!
