Ok now I need to find a case and a correct dial.

I looked it up 1888 model 2 star. And I was wrong it has 3 diamond end stones on the plates side. I hope there is 3 more on the dial side.

Eugene isnt the model 88 a little larger than normal 16s reason asking is I wonder if they ruined that nice case by enlarging it to accomodate the movement. THat script dial is going to be tough to find also.

OMIGOSH! Eek The dial feet must be gonzo! I have this case I was "saving" for when I found one of those 17s 19-21J prizes. It is a Fahys Coin silver in excellent shape and made for the 1888 Waltham. If you can handle it for about $250.00 (incl 15J Royal Mvt.) Contact me at; david@gloopar.com
(btw the 3rd diamond cap jewel should be on the Pallet Fork bridge.)

Here's the dial you're going to be looking for, though not all have the A.W.W.Co. logo, the case should be a fairly easy find....

Gorgeous Dial not easy to find though at least not in my experience. That is the one I mentioned above. I still like to know if they ruined that nice Hamilton case. Confused

I'll do some dissecting tonight when I get home from work. I hope they did not ruin the case. I was planning on selling the case to help afford the buying of other parts.

They must have either drilled a hole in the case for the detent pin, or clipped the pin off.

Eugene,
Here is a Moorhouse like dial that came off a mdl 1888. No chips or hairlines, perfect! If you are interested send me an e-mail

If Gene is not interested I am in need of a dial and case for my 1888. I need a case for an open face movement and for a closed face movement and while I would like to find a script dial a fancy dial would be just fine. Genes watch is stunning and besides I am sure he could put my Hampden Champion in that ruined Hamilton case!

Eugene, I am not sure about that. I have had 3 1888's and they were 15 and 17 jewels with SS dials.
If you are interested let me know.
