Robert V. JonesBall Stirrup Case Question
Was there any Ball watches made with the lever set at the 11 [at 56 minutes] position like later walthams have. I know waltham made some later movements with lever set at 11 but all ball walthams I ever seen have lever same as hamilton at 6 [minutes] position.

Robert V. JonesOk thanks are they a standard 16s movement then. I sent a friend one of my nice ball cases I had put away and he just called me and said the lever was at 11 and I just found it hard to believe. I remember checking to make sure all my cases were not the restrikes but never remember checking the lever slot. Funny how I happened to pick out the one and only one I had that had lever at 11. I actually asked him what he was smoking. LOL Now I will have to tell him what I found. I dont have any ball record watches in my collection and didnt even think of that. Thanks a million for the info.

Richard M. JonesRobert I do not think your Ball Swiss case works on American made Ball movements. Perhaps another member knows for sure?

Larry BuchanI purchased this watch in 2009. you can see the characteristic No.4 that the Swiss used for their dials.

Larry BuchanThe movement is housed without modification in a American Keystone J Boss yellow gold filled Ball Official RR Standard case. So American movements should fit in it quite easily.

Robert V. JonesI am going to exchange it for one of my other cases and keep it in case I run into a swiss ball needing a case.

Robert V. JonesReason why I asked if it was standard 16s is I thought I remember having a swiss ball at one time that I ended up selling but thought the movement was smaller but it may have been a different creature than the one Larry posted or maybe my memory isnt as good as I thought.
