Larry,

Adding to Steve's post the watch is a model 2. The hands and dial are correct for the movement. The patented regulator is a Teske.

As well as the info already provided Larry the production of this variant of the Grade was close to 14,000 units, total for all the variants about 39,000, also probably closer to Production year of 1892.

Interesting that a 9 jewel watch would sport a Teske regulator.

The first Teske regulated 9 Jewel "Gladiator movement I saw suggested the regulator was a dealer-installed accessory. Then as two more of these came into my collection, it became clear that the Canton-Hampden Works decided to make a "Gladiator" that was short on jewels but longer on regulation.
Yours being the first Hunter Style I have seen sets it even more apart as a very collectible version of this interesting Canton Variant.

As the jewel count went up they tarted up the regulator but there seems no logic to it.

The 17 jewel Special Railway had a 14K gold regulator index yet I have seen a 15j Railway with gold index and arm.
