H.W. Tisdall was a jeweler in Toronto Canada. If you post what the patent information is on the movement maybe I can find more. All I can make out is US Patent.

If the inscription is U.S. PAT. 24 MAY-1904 I would say it is a Tavannes. I have a watch with that inscribed in the same place over the winding wheel and bearing a Tavannes dial.
