I just bought a 977 movement that needs a staff and mainspring. I currently have it in pieces on my bench and will decide how to deal with it based partially on your comments. I wonder if it is worth restoring. The Price Guide calls it a $150 watch, but I never see these for sale. Is this a somewhat rare piece, or a parts watch? I don't have a photo yet, but, it is a bit rough but not a basket case. Certainly not one you would rave about condition. Just you honest thoughts and I'll put some photos on later if needed.

Mke It deserves a decent Hunter Case which should be added value to the undervalued estimate of the Price Guide. This is an unusual 16 Jewel movement worth fixing.

Thanks Dave. That was my gut feeling. I'll try and get a suitable case and dial after I get the repairs done.
