Little help here ... is this Bunn Special Correct??? "Click" to Login or Register

This is an early model Bunn Special from my collection. I like to think it is correct, but, hearing from the community would help a lot. Serial number 2688459 should date it to 1914.

This is from the last run of this Model 9 Bunn Special with the unique second pattern Fish Scale Damaskeening and black filled engraving. The Plum Steel Hands look correct and the case has only seen these movement screws.

The total of 2,450 of these were made in 1913-1914 within the S/N range of 2576401-2688500.

The original had a DS Bold Arabic Dial, so I expect your Montgomery Dial could have been special ordered by the watchmaker at the point of sale.

Thanks Dave. So, the case is a credible example for this movement? That's good news.

John, I have no doubt the case could be purchased for this watch. That said, it may be case#2 in the life of the watch as the watch movement shows evidence of being well serviced over a long life.

I concur David, that mid-pendant case is definitely a decade or more newer than the movement, so as you said, it is mostly likely case #2 in the life of this watch.
