The “Blind Mans” or Extra heavy Arabic dial
design was introduced in 1918 and was used through the 1928 end of 18-size Hamilton production and it continued after that for many years on 16-size watches.

It is an easy to read, in any light condition, and at a glance, bold and pronounced dial that "even a blind man could read" !!

Here we have an artists rendition from "The Timekeeper" in 1918;

regards,
bb

Hope these discussions provide additional information for you and others.

I'm sure it was part of a selling pitch, but MAN those "blind man" dials look better and better every year that goes by.
