I will post a few, starting with the markings on a Hamilton 400 in a Bok case.

The markings on Hamilton 900 cases are different from those on Hamilton 400s. Here is a representative example, but some have the serial number in a straight line.

I could go on for a while, but I will stop with one more example, the markings on a Hamilton 923. Except for the Hamilton 400, the order in which I have posted examples is roughly chronological. The Hamilton 400s would fit in before the 921 example.

Ethan, that is really Great! I didn't realize there were so many differences in these.

I have a 900 in a Hamilton Case with dust cover. There is a very interesting Crown mark on the Dust Cover, but only a Serial Number on the case back. There are absolutely NO "Karat" markings anywhere. It seems there is nothing really indicating "Gold Filled, Gold Plated, or for that matter, 10, 14, 18K or otherwise. This is my First Hamilton Case like this so I was trying to figure out what to look for. You really helped me with that. I will post a Picture of the back tomorrow morning. Thanks!
