I recently acquired a very nice 17j 1883 Waltham. I bought it because it had a radial Numeric dial I wanted and the price was reasonable. I was not concerned with the case but upon examination I find it is a coin silver Bay State case labeled Acme Lock and a patent date. It is a light weight case ( I guess Bay State forgot to put Lead in this one) and is a snap on back and bezel. I have not run across this case before and wondered if anyone had?

Wasn't the Roadrunner's "nemesis" Wile E. Coyote a big customer of ACME Lock and Safe Co?

He certainly was and as a guess this looks like they were trying to avoid screw back and bezel work when they made this. It is not a display case so I assume it just did not have many customers. Anyway I had not seen this before.
