You can see the "wear and tear" in this beautiful Elgin B.W. Raymond, Gr. 240, Model 8, 18s, 19J, 5 Position Adj., s/n 14005698 Elgin. Thanks to the two "Paul's" of IHC185, I was able to get it up and going today. I know it is used, but it is beautiful and ACCURATE!

I believe Elgin's Grade 240 18s 3/4 Plate 19J Model 9 RR watch represents the ultimate achievement in this generation of timepieces. No wasted jewels*, all beauty and performance.
*Albeit Cut Diamond endstones are a little "MUCH" but they "sho' be priddy"!

Since I serviced it today with a replacement Mainspring, this watch has not moved off-time by 1 second.

btw, it was on eBay as "not running", I tossed a $105.00 bid and won it. There are still deals there!
