The 936 was a RRG/RRA watch at time of production and were fine watches and served much time on the nations rails. They were single roller before 426,001 and double roller afterwards. Slightly over 18,000 were produced and they were discontinued in 1920 when 17 jewel watches were no longer RRA. The first serial numbered watches beginning with number "1" were/was a 936 grade. They were "adjusted" to 5 positions. regards, bb

Buster is right, 936's were always adjusted to 5 positions, but were only marked "adjusted" up till about 1905. That was when the railroad time service rules were changed to require the number of positions to be explicitly stated on the movement. So after 1905, we start to see the "adjusted 5 positions" marking. Best Regards, Ed
