"The Queen" was made by Illinois for N. Gamse, a jeweler out of New York. Most all that I have personally seen were made 1912-1917. This one appears to be 17 Jewels which is what most of them were.

Its a PL [private label] watch and they generally sell for $150-400 depending on condition and case material.

regards,
bb

If you will always post the serial number of the watch in your very first post, it will help to answer your question[s].

There were 420 of the Model 4 Grade 64's that were made with 17 jewels, they were open face and pendant set. Most all of the Grade 64's in 15 and 17 jewel configurations were deployed as PL watches. The pre 1900 watches were RRG.

I see you are a "registered guest" on our site since June of 2015, you may want to consider joining IHC185 for a membership fee of only $12 annually where you will then have access to all of our Forums and be allowed to buy/sell and trade watches between members.

The watch looks great - Vincent!

There is a ton of information on the site. If you are a fan of pocket watches - especially if you are just starting to spread your wings in the pocket watch world... Sign up for only $12 per yr = $1 per month (can you even buy a candy bar for that price anymore???).

Welcome aboard!!! Big Grin
