Roger Stephens940 in display case
I dislike snap on display cases with a lever set movement
to much work for me.Well I have had one for quiet some time
lever cut at 2.So I thought I would cut the bezel to match.
Turned out pretty good.At least I don't have to take the bezel off to set it!

Mark CrossI know purist will scream their heads off for that being cut, but quite frankly I think that's brilliant.
I, too, have NEVER had any luck with snap on display cases for actual use. The crystal usually pops out of one of the bezels.
This is a great alternative, and they made so many of those cases, this is a great 'fix' when you just want access to the lever.
I like it!

David AbbeWhile the RR watch inspector would frown on that, so would he have frowned on the use of a salesman's display case anyway. On the other hand the area that lever slot exposed in the watch is is not as prone to dust mucking it up. It makes for a nice carry so long as the lever does not catch on something, come out and "self adjust".

Roger StephensThanks Mark and David for your comments. So far the lever
has not caught on anything and created a problem.I
wonder if a piece of rodico would stay in place?

Theodore J. Brown Sr.Great idea Roger. You'll just have to make sure you dump the dust out of your pocket, because it will get into that nice looking 940 thru the new lever slot.I wish the factories had the foresight to have made those display cases SB&B!
