Noted the DSD, and hoped from something better than a 7j 1883 ![]()

1st Tracy for me in this style. She needs some TLC, but for the price of the scrap case it was an excellent gamble. Did Waltham make many Appleton in the 1892 model? There is a Crescent (21j), 845 (21j), Appleton (17j), Vanguard (17j, 19j, 21j) in the 1892??? ![]()

You did good Jon!Those Appleton Tracy '92 models are a great railroad watch.Even though they were a 3 position watch they were RR approved. All 1892's are really well finished beautiful movements.According to a book I have ,around 24000 were made.I think you hit a home run!...Ted.

Good find Ted, I love these model 92's. I can't see all of the serial number Of your watch, but it looks like yours is from a run of 1500. There were 63 runs of the 17 jewel AT&co, open face with a total of 32368 made.
|
To add, looks like the total AT&co model 92 production is just over 40,000. Hunter and open face in 17 jewel
