So recently I acquired a new Hamilton pocket watch off eBay, it has a strange dial, there are initials (or at least I assume) replacing the 9 and 3 hour markers. I was wondering if anyone can't tell me anything about the watch. Thank you, Francesco

Back when these were made one could get letters of their name or organization in place of the numerals direct from the manufacturer. We usually see 12 letters and rarely do we see just two letters, interesting, especially if they happen to be yours.

It's possible... Or starting at 12 position and going clock-wise; O-M-R
Since we didn't have it done or weren't privy to the order, it's going to be near impossible to say, and is going to be open to speculation, no doubt....
