Over the past year I have been collecting information on every Seth Thomas pocket watch I have been able to find. So far, I have recorded over 1,000 examples. With an increasing sample size, I will be able to put a beta lookup database online in the near future based on extrapolated serial ranges.

I have already searched the previous discussions on the IHC185 forums for information and photos of Seth Thomas examples including thorough discussions that featured many great examples. I have also pulled information from other forums, sites, and auctions online.

I am now looking for any additional information from IHC185 members that own Seth Thomas watches which are not recorded elsewhere in the forum.

The information I would like to know:

- Movement Serial Number
- Size
- OF/HTG
- Jewel Count, if discernible
- Jewel Settings: Screw-Set or Friction/Pressed
- Adjusted: Marked? Positions? Temperature?
- Lever/Pendant Set
- Movement Markings (I have been keeping detailed records of these on other examples)
- Dial: Single/Double Pressed, Single/Double Sunk, or Flat
- Photos of the movement and dial would be an added bonus, but not required

I have put up a beta version of the Seth Thomas database lookup using the serial number model list from one of the catalogs and over 1,000 observations from the past year.

The reconstructed database should provide nearly 100% coverage for model referencing and roughly 33% coverage for grades on serial numbers prior to 1,000,000. Hopefully, those figures will improve over time.
