Everyday you never know what you are going to find, here is a expensive watch given the quick fix, can anyone figure out what he/she was trying to do?, incidently the shine on the jewels is the glue holding them in place.

The finishing touch
might as well glue the roller table on (and maybe more) you just destroyed also. (I have the owners permission to post the pictures)

I hope the case was worth what was paid for the "expensive watch". The rest is just a parts movement,at best. Was this off ebay, by chance?

Chris,
I guess the good news is that it is all fixable.

At least they didn’t hack away at the plates, all I can figure is that they filed the bridge down to allow for the bad staff job to make room for the wobbling balance wheel, at least they glued the undersized jewels in the center or did they, time for a parts rummage… I cant remember where it was bought ebay sounds favorite, just needs a COA!,,,,,

If you file the pallet bridge down like that it's easier to remove it so you can clean the pallet fork without having to remove the balance. Roll Eyes

There just had to be a reason to create all this carnige. The sad thing about all this is that it's not the only one. On the other hand, it's an amazing esay on life as to what lengths one would go to to put the staples of life on the table for their family.
