A 1940 catalog describes that graphic design as a 1611 series, the finish is sometimes referred to as a raised butler finish. The Metal dial designs made to "keep up with the fashions of the day" seemed to out-do the parts catalogs for variety and style. The factory advice on "cleaning" was use a soft bristle brush and soap and water or alcohol. Anything else would spoil the dial surfaces. | |||
