Star case "Elgin RR" just below the crown "Click" to Login or Register

Quick question here. Were the cases made by Star with "Elgin RR" just below the crown ever used for a Father Time movement?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I believe you are asking about the #39 case, and as far as I know, they were used for FT as well as BWR.

I believe the "Father Time" marked movements which were made in grades-373/374/375/388/ and 454 in 16sz, started production around 1910 [+/-] and continued to be made until about 1922, with the "454's" being the last "Father Time" movements to be produced.

"Father Time" movements precede the marked "Elgin RR" cases which debuted the next year in 1923.

regards,
bb
