I know there are not many Rockford collectors out there but I have a question that someone MAY be able to answer.

I have a friend who has a Rockford #343 broken balance staff. He needs to know how long it is. The charts say it is 7.05mm's but if you look at the pictures it is noticeably shorter than the #344 which is the same length 7.05mm's.

He said this came out of a 3/4 plate 18s Rockford model 5.

Thanks for your help,
Harry

Harry, according to my Rockford info, the model 5 takes a staff #343. long hub, .75, length 7.05. The #343 has a short hub, .71, length 7.05.

Thank you very much Brian. Yes he says the numbers in the book are a misprint. He says the model 5 is a 3/4 plate and there is not enough room for a 7.05mm staff. He says the staff that came out is much shorter than what the book calls for.

Brian do you or anyone else have a Rockford #343 staff they can measure?

Thanks,
Harry

Thank you Gary. He has some #343's already but he got them all mixed up he said and he needed to know the length to straighten them out.
