I bought a bunch of Getty movements early on thinking I was going to become some sort of Getty specialist... only to find out that any Getty with an original dial, case and hands is a great find.
Your watch is in well above average condition. And with all correct Canadian attributes, a very nice watch overall.

Morning fellows, thank you all for the nice comments. I wasn't sure at first if the dial was period correct but after a little research I think it is fine. Regards Rick

I would consider this watch a "real looker" Rick. From the Canadian dial with the cool numbers, the nice looking hands, the very nice case to the beautiful three finger movement. Everything goes together on your watch just like "bacon & eggs".
You guys upstate have some very nice stuff.
Best regards, Tim

Perhaps not a "high end" watch in it's day, but given its condition and rarity today, I'd say it is probably just as desirable to an Illinois collector as any 75 jewel, adjusted in seventeen positons Snagamo Special.

Gentlemen, once again thank you for the accolades regarding the watch. I must confess I bought the Illinois about 7 or 8 years ago at an auction. I knew virtually nothing about pocket watches although checked it out and it ran and functioned well. No technical astute observation on my part but as in coin collecting condition is the first consideration and this watch fit the bill. Has not been serviced so that will come soon.
Regards Rick
