Elgin Grade 229 "Click" to Login or Register

I have an Elgin Grade 229, and as I was looking up the serial# 8005798 on the Elgin Database, I understand some of the abbrevations, but I do not know what the class mean's, it's a great watch and keeps great time in the org. coin silver case, and to me only 3800 made and I have # 598, I know that this is not small run but it's is to me.any help would be Great.
