Hi folks, Has anyone got an idea as to who is the maker of this movemnt. At first I thought it might be a cortbert or early rolex, but I don't know. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks, Bill

To add just a little to this, It could be a Gallet also, it is on an early Eatons watch and I know they used Gallet, and early Rolex movements on some of their watches. I have another Gallet and it does not appear quite the same as this one. But to my untrained eye, particularly with Swiss movements I just don't know. Thnaks, Bill

It may have come from the Gruen combine of movement makers as some Gruen Watches have that "American style" click on the Ratchet Wheel. .

Boy, I sure am no expert but I thought the same thing, Dave, and also it looks as though it could have some relationship to the International Watch Co....but don't take that to the bank, it's only my guess.... Regards, Jerry

Dave and Jerry, Thanks for the input, I also thought it looked similar to the IWC pics in the Guide, not quite but close, and I could not find a pic of a Gruen that looked like it, but could be, I appreciate the thoughts from both of you. If I were to take it apart, would there be somewhere under something that might identify it further ? Theres also a stamp on it REF 919 if that means anything to anyone. Thanks, Bill
