2,640,154 serial, 17j. It is in GREAT condition cosmetically but has a bad MS. Easy fix, I even have one in stock. I need to know the grade in order to ID it in the fat book.

looks to be a grade 345.

Here is what the Elgin site says and you left off the last zero in the serial number.
Serial Number 26401540
Grade: 345
Named for: None
Description: Grade 345, 12 size, 17 jewels, made about 1924.
Open faced movement. Pendent wind and set. Three-quarter plate.
