Jon-

No, they had a brass plate 7j and 11j with no grade assignment. They are very scarce though.

Jon, I have a couple 928s which are, Of course, the open face equivalent. I know the 928 is rare so the 929 must be like hen's teeth. For practical purposes the 928 and 929 were the lowest jeweled movements since the others are very scarce. As you know, I am no expert, but, I read these posts Big Grin

Mike,

This is the 1st 929 that I have been lucky enough to own, it is a private label and the dial is in sad shape. If you have some pictures of the 928 - would love to see it.

Still need to procure the 16j 18s Hamiltons one of these days, too...

Jon-

I have a 929 PL from my hometown. They are a nice little watch. My PL is from Jefferson, IA. Iowa has a lot of PL hamiltons, illinois, and south bend available if you watch for them.

Hi Jon,

I have two 929's. One is in a nice gold filled hunter case and RUN's. The other has a broken balance staff. The was advertised as a 925 but I looked up the s/n and saw it was a 929. Does yours run?

Hi Harry,

I am actually down here in Atlanta for work, and have not had a chance to see if this one even runs. My wife says it tries to run, but probably all gummed up. It was sitting in a bank safe for many years. Cannot wait to get back home at the end of the month to give it a good cleaning.

Would like to see some pictures on your 929 if you have them.

Hello Jon,
I will put some up. How long are you going to be in town? Maybe we will have time to eat lunch or something and I could show you the 929 in person.
If not at least you can look at the pictures. I will put them up in a bit.

Hi Mike,
I looked at your link. Did you ever find a regulator arm for that watch? Looks just like the 929 except the regular is pointing in the other direction.

Thanks for the link Mike. I have never seen a 7 jewel Hamilton before. I knew they made them. For the opening bid I guess I will still never see one.
