Montreal Watch Case Co. "Click" to Login or Register
posted
I have a 16 size Montreal Watch case that houses a 15 jewel Elgin circa 1923 with a private label dial.

On the inside of the case back it reads 'Waldon' M.W.C.Co., the serial# is 3959365 and this serial number matches the number on the case body. From what I can gather the M.W.C.Co. was in production from the mid to late 1800's to approximately 1915.
Would anyone know if these cases were base metal composition or otherwise. From one of Larry Buchan's posts he indicated the Montreal case company purchases Hamilton movements and cased them for sale.

Any information or speculation would be appreciated.
Regards
Rick

Lorne, thanks for the numbers that is interesting. I have seen Sturdy and Derby before did not realize they were a M.W.C co product. I may even have one or the other, will check.

CMIC- case made in Canada?
SLV - serial number v shape and L-line?
Much appreciated.

Harry, thanks I am thinking as you looking at the back of the case.

Hello Rick:

Thanks for posting the MWC Waldon Case, I have never seen one before. I've been in the hospital since January 3rd and hope to be home on Thursday after 50 days. I will post some photos of my MWC Cases.
