Can anyone give me a production date/year on a Hamilton 2974b, #2k2457.

Just for kicks, I know they made 16K of the 2974B watches from 1941 until the mid 1950's. I can find no single database at my disposal, but I would think it may be from 1942, but do not hold me to it or bet the farm on it

Someone will come along with an authoritative answer soon Edward. I would be interested in a listing of serial nos. with production years here on ihc for the 2974B watches. It shouldn't be all that tough with only 16K being produced

Hamilton Factory Records indicate that Grade 2974B Serial No. 2K2457 was finished January 21, 1943 and sold the same day to 64-7007 (probably the military contract number)

Larry, Where can one find these "Hamilton Factory Records"...? You are not the first one to use that phrase, I have heard others refer to it as well....I have searched here on site but can not come up with any such document....

Thanks Buster and Larry. I did not think there were records that indicated the finishing dates for Hamilton military contract watches.
