I was looking at it when it went down, and yessir, you are a very very lucky man, I almost spoiled your B Day Eek

Happy Birthday to you Big Grin

Such a beautiful watch, Tom!

Also, I was wondering if anyone here bought "The Studebaker" South Bend they had up for auction tonight?

Happy Birthday. The "other Illinois" record shows 60 of these made and report the other runs of 10 (1299091-1299100 in 1895) and 25 (1401876-140900 in 1898) as for Anderson, but the middle (1375301-1367325 in 1897) run of which you have an example now is not listed as made for "Anderson". That means you have a very rare example of this.

Happy Birthday old man I can remember when I first started the watch business I had a Andrews watch which I di extensive research on only to find it was a private label watch on a large diamond store in california. I thought I had a gold mine but in reality I just had another private label.

Nice B-day present, I was probably one of many that checked that one out since even for a non-Illinois collector it grabs your attention. I have an A.N. Anderson Elgin 343 that probably was accepted for RR service on some lines, normally the 343 is marked GM Wheeler and only 1000 were made but the A.N. Anderson's movements have no markings other than Elgin National Watch Co. Mr. Anderson appeared to wheel and deal with the watch companies since many of his marked movements are low production units. Normally when you see A.N. Anderson they usually have Standard Time below his name.
