Got my GOLD but.....Help "Click" to Login or Register

Hi,
I received my GORGEOUS Elgin "Pansy" today and I need help.
I did a search and it's an 1887 Elgin, Grade 109, Class 60, Size 0s, 7J, PW.
The movement says Safety Pinion, Elgin USA,
with an engraved Pansy on it, and the word (Name)Pansy under it.
Case marks are 14K Dueber with ancor mark.
Solid Gold hunter case # 6493765.

The problem is, I can't find my original information on this watch, (The Pansy) and the Complete price guide to Watches doesn't have it listed either.
This is supposed to be a named watch, and it isn't there.
The movement looks just like the one on the 2004 version of the book above on page 207 listed as model 1, 0 size 3/4 plate hunting.

Mine is a hunter 3/4 plate, gilded, model 1, pend. set.

Does anyone have any other information on this name watch?

I know it's out there, and I have looked and looked, and can't find the original page I first found about this watch.

I'm real pleased with the watch, it's the cleanest watch I have EVER seen, has a saphire on the case too.

It looks like NEW. Even though it's only a 7 Jewel, I couldn't have asked for a nicer watch.

Sheila, Most of the very nice solid gold 0S watches you will find with a seven jewel movement. It is the exception to find a high jewel, high grade movement in a small solid case.

The owners of these were women who had them as jewelry, not precision timekeepers, so the money went into the case, not the movement.

Hi Tom,
I figured as much, because it's so fancy.

I'm tickled with it.

Sure wish I could find the Pansy information again though.
