Hello.
I just picked up this 0 size Rockford.
but there is something missing... No Serial Numbers.
I took it apart and still, no numbers at all.
the only model I can find that's close is a 0 size Plymouth Watch Co.
any thoughts.? or anyone run into one like this before.?

Thank you
Doug

Doug, When Rockford closed their doors in about 1917 there were some of these that doubtless were made without serial numbers, possibly by the employees trying to pick up on lost wages, etc.

It looks to be in good condition and well damaskeened, maybe needing a few things to make it "right". The case also looks extraordinary.

These "0" sizes are fairly valuable, a good investment and conversation piece.

Thank you David and Jon.

From what I can tell this model was only used for the Plymouth Watch Co. and it makes sense that they may have had a few still back in the safe when Rockford was closing.
overall its in good shape. but needs a little work to get it going.

I always check the serial numbers when its a Rockford model I don't recognize, to see what it is and how many were made.
its the first one I have seen without a SN..
I Had to up my bid on it some..

if anything, it is a interesting conversation piece. and its always Fun to find something a little different.

Thanks again
Doug
