Here is the movement that Larry hooked me up with. 1925. It looks like I need to pull that lint ball off the crown wheel.

There are an extra set of screw marks in the case. That Lindell pointed out. It had a Bunn Special in it when I bought it.

But it is back together like it was many moons ago when it was new.

Wow, what a beautiful watch Eugene!!

It is so good to see these watches come back to the way they were.

That is one of my all time favorite cases in the green gold, and with that dial.

Nice pictures too!!

Larry

Nice, real nice Cool

The bows on these crossbar cases, at the very top, is where the owner's chain came in contact [metal to metal] and today most are worn out in that area. Like the Ball stirrup bow cases, there was not enough metal and both cases allowed the owner's chains to contact the top area 90% of the time and caused them to wear thin and oft wearing completely thru. The designs on both were flawed Frown

Any amongst you today that carries a pocket watch with a chain, needs to use a plastic or tanned animal hide bow protector to keep the metal to metal contact at a minimum Wink On the Ball stirrup bow cases, I would recommend NOT using the "smaller" hole, but instead use the larger opening between the top of the crown and bow.

bb
