Factory or store watch records "Click" to Login or Register
posted
I have what may be a silly question, but I think this is the best place to ask. I've recently received a couple of watches from the 1880's and I was curious as to where they may have been purchased from. In the box with the watches were a few winding keys, one of which had the name of a jewelry store that I would bet money at least one of these watches came from. The store closed in the 1940's and nobody knows if records from there still exist. Is there somewhere (the watch companies maybe) that would have records of where their watches were sent to be sold? This is all just for curiosity sake, trying to find out as much about the watches as I can. Thanks for any ideas and Happy Easter!
