Does anyone know which mainspring a Waltham Crescent St 21 jewel size 16 takes? Is it a 2218, 2227 or a 2247? And also what strength as a couple of these come in different strengths. Movement Serial #19112362.

Thanks!

Hi Harry,

Mainspring should be a 2227 for a Model 1908 Crescent Street, also the same for the Model 1908 Vanguard. As for the strength Harry I've had no problems using 16-18 strength springs.

Best Regards,
Bila

Thank you very much Bila. How's the weather down under? Should be the beginning of spring I think.

Harry you are right that we are into spring here, just lately though you would not think so. We have had a very cool south-westerly change drop the temperature around 15 degrees Celsius (59 degrees Fahrenheit).
