Posting Guidelines for Watches . . .

When you are posting a watch for discussion on IHC185 Forums, whether it's from your collection, something you just bought or are considering buying, here are a few things you should include in your posting to increase the likelihood of a quality response and make life easier for everyone:

1. Pictures of the watch showing what you are asking about. In other words, if you have a question about the dial, show the dial. If you have a question about the movement, show the movement, and so on. Here are instructions for downsizing and posting images: "HELP IN POSTING IMAGES FOR HOSTING ON OUR IHC185 DISCUSSION SITE" A good image size us 640x480 in most instances.

2. Movement number. This is important for looking the watch up in our databases, and also for searching prior topics to see if your watch has been discussed before. When discussing any watch, please always provide the movement number!

3. Case number for factory-cased watches, again for databases and searching purposes.

4. One more point, eBay and other On-Line Auctions and transactions should be discussed only in Avoiding the PITFALLS of On-Line Trading due to liability considerations.

Best Regards,

Ed
