A very nice (for it's age) Howard "Click" to Login or Register

I saw this for sale and for some reason (although it's not a size 18) I wanted it. It intrigued me actually because of the color of the gold in this wath. It's only gold filled but the tone is quite remarkable. The whitish spot at about 5 O'clock is a light shadow.

It came with the original case and paperwork inside that I thought was rather neat. The serial # is 1297301

I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know what you think.

I think Howard makes a nice watch, Bud! The box and watch paper is also special to have. This 12s size made a nice one to slip in a vest pocket with a gold-filled chain where it would hardly show. I didn't see much difference in the gold color you remarked about.

A nice looking Dress Watch Bud....

The paperwork is a nice touch as long as the movement and case numbers match up and it looks like someone has changed some of the numbers on the watch license....

Nice anyway....

Jerry

Hello Mike, and thanks for the comment. I agree, and it's just small and light enough that it would be a real easy watch to carry. Likely unnoticable as well.

The gold color....... it's hard to explain Mike, and it just has this strange (or different) hue to it. As I sit here typeing I can see that it is quite different in color to the three other watches I have on the desk at the moment. If I had to be close in comparing it, I'd say it was the color of a gold nugget, yet I know it's only gold filled.

Hi Jerry. Yes, I'm glad it came with paperwork. I haven't yet tried to figure out what all the penciling in means but I'll see if I can later today. It appears to have been serviced at least twice in its life as there are markings on the inside of the rear cover.

Regards

Bud
