I have a 15j Illinois, serial number 1315394, that is marked on the movement "Joseph Welf, Cleveland, O." The porcelain dial is obviously an Illinois gothic style, also marked "Joseph Welf, Cleveland, O. Does anyone have any information about this particular private label Illinois?

I've seen two other Getty models marked for this firm, both a little bit later than your watch and marked as "Jos. Welf & Sons Co., Cleveland OH".

Beyond this though I don't know anything about who Welf was or what else he may have ordered in way of private-label watches.
