Illinois "Wolverine" 17j info please. "Click" to Login or Register

Just got this one in from the E place. Serial number is 2803891. Any info availible on this number? It has an enamel Illinois marked dial with what appear to be Burlington style hands. Any source for these hands? I don't think I can save these. Crystal is badly yellowed plastic and it has rotted the hands up pretty badly. Got to it just in time I think as the rust didn't get to the pinions. Movement is nickel with a wavey demaskeen pattern. Appears to have a gold train. I will post some pics up later this evening. Thanks -Mike

Your watch should be a 16s 17J model 7 pendant set grade 604. 604 was unadjusted, jewels in settings, rounded spoke gold plated train wheels, double sunk glass enamel dial.

I show yours made in 1915 & they made a total of 8700 in 23 runs from 1911-1920.

According to the gold book by Meggers he lists a 18, 16 & 12 size with the name Wolverine.
